• Amazing confluence of musical instruments and music in the competition of 'Rocking Rivals

Today, on 9th August 2024, the 'Rocking Rivals' inter-school competition was organized. The objective of the competition was to give today's youth an opportunity to showcase their talent and creativity, to increase their confidence, and to encourage the competitive spirit within them. The school believes that music is the most powerful medium of expression because music expresses that which cannot be said because it is the expression of the soul. All the prestigious schools of Banaras and Chandauli participated in this competition.


The program was inaugurated by the senior officials of the school with the welcome of the chief guest, the Managing Director of the school, Mr. Manoj Bajaj, the jury members, music expert Mr. Pranshu Ghosh and Tushar Bhattacharya. In the same sequence, the chief guest, the jury members and the senior officials of the school gave permission to formally start the program by lighting the lamp in front of Maa Sharda. First of all, in the Junior Band Competition, children from various schools amazed the audience by showcasing their talent and creativity. Everyone proved their mettle by giving one better performance than the other. In the same sequence, the program was taken forward by the Senior Band Competition, in which the elder children enthralled the entire school premises with the ragini of the seven notes of music. The participants from all the schools mesmerized the audience and the judges with their strong performances. After that, the Solo English Vocal Competition started, in which all the participating children enthralled the audience by giving one more captivating performance than the other. On the said occasion, the Principal of the school, Mr. Ashish Saxena welcomed everyone and said that - Music is an important part of our life, it is not only a time to have fun but is also a great way to relieve stress! Music helps in improving health, fitness, concentration as well as memory level! Music is a great way to improve your language skills. On this occasion, Chief Guest Mr. Manoj Bajaj showered his blessings on the children and said that - Penance is the first and last step of religion. Whether that penance is for attaining God or for attaining education, it certainly leads you to success in every situation.

On this occasion, in Junior Band Competition, first prize was bagged by Seth M.R. Jaipuria Babatpur Campus, second prize by Sunbeam Ramkatora and third prize by Seth M.R. Jaipuria Padav Campus and in Senior Band, first prize was bagged by Seth M.R. Jaipuria Babatpur Campus, second prize by D.P.S. Varanasi and third prize by Seth M.R. Jaipuria Padav Campus.

In Vocal, first prize was bagged by Seth M.R. Jaipuria Padav Campus, second prize by Sunbeam Mughalsarai and third prize by D.P.S. Kashi.

In today's competition, Special Award - The title of Best Guitarist was bagged by D.P.S. Varanasi School while the award for Best Keyboard was bagged by Seth M.R. Jaipuria Babatpur Campus got the award and made his school and parents proud by winning the Best Drummer award at Sunbeam Mughalsarai.
