National Sports Day
• Grand celebration of National Sports Day in the campus
• Children paid humble tribute to Major Dhyan Chand ji by performing excellently in various sports.
Today, on 29-8-2023, a grand celebration of National Sports Day was organized in the campus in memory of Major Dhyan Chand, the wizard of hockey. The main objective of the program was to pay tribute to Major Dhyan Chand ji and promote the spirit of sports.
The program started with the welcome of senior officials of the school. After that all the senior officers paid tribute to Major Dhyan Chand ji. In this sequence, Sports Captain Sudhi circled the field with the torch and the Managing Director of the school lit the torch and gave the signal to start the sports competitions. Now formally starting the program, the children of Vidyakaya performed a beautiful inspirational dance. And with this, competitions started at various levels. Archery, shooting, badminton, 100 meter relay race, long jump, kho-kho kabaddi etc. competitions were held in various stages (under-12, under-14, under-17 and under-19).
On this occasion, the Managing Director of the school, Mr. Manoj Bajaj ji, while converging everyone with his motivational thoughts, said that “A champion is the one who does not compromise for that day's practice, that day's competition, that day's performance. . He always tries to be better. He doesn't live in the past. Your persistence can turn even failure into extraordinary achievement.” In the same sequence, Sports Captain Sudhi also encouraged the contestants by presenting an inspirational poem while sharing her thoughts.
In this sequence, the winners of various competitions were honored by distributing prizes.
On this occasion, the chief guest of the school, Chairman Deepak Bajaj, Managing Director Manoj Bajaj, Director Shyam Sundar Bajaj, Director Manju Budhia, Principal Ashish Saxena, Vice Principal Priyanka Mukherjee, teachers and children were present with dignity. At the end of the program, Priyanka Mukherjee, Vice-Principal of the school, gave a memorandum of thanks and the program was conducted by Pragya Rungta and Pratyush Goyal.
